It is early in the morning and Dash has clogged one of the few space toilets on Moon Base Alpha after a very disagreeable freeze-dried dinner. While he is trying to fix the broken toilet, Dash overhears the moon base's doctor telling someone that he is going to share a big, world-changing secret in the morning. Dash never learns what the secret is; the next morning the doctor is found dead on the surface of the moon. The adults say it was an accident, but Dash knows it was murder. When Dash starts to investigate, he receives threatening messages and is almost killed by rovers. Dash needs to try to find the culprit and keep himself safe while stuck on the moon with a murderer.
